Specialty areas

CSU|LAW offers a strong legal foundation and the courses, network and experiences to tailor a legal education to match each student's career goals. Some of the specialty areas of law in which students choose to focus include:

Concentrations

Students may also choose to undertake an intensive course of study through an academic concentration in one of five areas of legal practice:

Any of the Concentrations may be completed in the course of meeting the J.D. degree requirements.

Each academic concentration has its own requirements; each has a core foundational curriculum and electives and each requires completion of a research and writing project or participation in a relevant clinic, externship or moot court competition. All of the Concentrations have basic GPA and grade requirements. The university notes the successful completion of a concentration on a student ‘s transcript. Learn more...
